The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs informs the public that the Vanard Wellness Centre will be temporarily closed from Thursday, July 10, 2025, for a period of six (6) months, to facilitate rehabilitation works under the OECS Regional Health Project, funded by the World Bank.

Effective Thursday July 10, 2025, all Primary Health Care Services normally offered at the Vanard Wellness Centre will be redirected to the Jacmel Wellness Centre. Home visits and outreach services in the community of Vanard will continue as usual to support patients requiring care.

Jacmel Wellness Centre Opening Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

The Ministry has arranged free transportation for residents of Vanard and surrounding communities via shuttle on ONLY Medical (Doctor’s) Clinic days. The shuttle will be available on Mondays for transportation to the Anse La Raye Wellness Centre and on Thursdays to the Jacmel Wellness Centre. Residents are also encouraged to access other healthcare services at Jacmel Wellness Centre or the nearest Community Wellness Centre.
