THE VISIT WAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE FUTURE COLLABORATION IN EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, AGRICULTURE AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE.

Her Excellency Nicole Y.C. Su, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), paid a courtesy visit to Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

During the visit, Ambassador Su met with members of the College’s senior leadership team, led by Deputy Chair of the Board Fortuna Anthony and Board member Dr. Anthony Felicien, as well as Principal Dr. Madgerie Jameson-Charles.

“The visit was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our strong and enduring partnership, and to explore future collaboration in education, technology, agriculture, and cultural exchange,” said Tracy Pilgrim-George, Acting Director of Academic Partnerships and Internationalization, who chaired the meeting.

As part of her visit, Ambassador Su also had a first tour of the campus.

The Taiwanese Embassy has been an invaluable partner to the College, collaborating on several major projects including the Upskilling Academy JENNES Programme, Business Expo and the teaching of Mandarin to students.

The Ambassador indicated interest in further collaborations in Agriculture and Public Health as well as with cultural exchanges.

SALCC looks forward to continuing this fruitful relationship with Taiwan.
