INTERNATIONAL MOTHER EARTH DAY THEME, "PLANET VS. PLASTICS"
In keeping with this year's International Mother Earth Day theme, "Planet vs. Plastics", the Department of Sustainable Development returns with its annual social media competition to further gauge perspectives on Saint Lucia's plastic consumption and pollution.
Interested persons must submit a 30-second video sharing their point of view (#POV) on:
1. People's habits that cause plastics to hurt our local environment
2. Our Government's solutions to reduce plastic consumption and pollution, and
3. Behaviours that citizens can adopt to reduce plastic use and disposal
Videos must be narrated with the points of view. Appropriate backgrounds (beach, park, dumpsite, etc) or eco-friendly activities may also be featured. Submissions will be posted to the Department of Sustainable Development's Facebook page and Instagram profile The three (3) videos with the most likes will win attractive prizes!
