The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs hereby advises the general public of the suspension of the Real Estate (Brokers and Agents) Act, No. 4 of 2025. These regulations came into force on March 17th, 2025.

The Real Estate (Brokers and Agents) Act, No. 4 of 2025, is suspended until the publication of the names of the members of the Board, as required under section 4(5) of the Real Estate (Brokers and Agents) Act, No. 4 of 2025.

The Ministry of Commerce thanks all stakeholders for their continued understanding and cooperation during this period.
