The government invites expressions of interest for the provision of services to Saint Lucia medical facilities.
The Government of Saint Lucia, acting through the Ministry of Health and Wellness, is preparing for the opening of the Owen King European Union Hospital.
Consequently, it is giving consideration to partnering with private sector service providers through the outsourcing of some of the services required at the EU Hospital and associated medical facilities.
The objective of this approach is to ensure that the required services are delivered to the health care system with maximum efficiency and at affordable cost.
Partnerships with private sector service providers are being contemplated for the following services:
Canteen and restaurant operation services;
Hospital meal provision including diet formulation and the operation of the kitchen at the Owen King EU Hospital;
Housekeeping and janitorial services;
Laboratory services including the provision of such services to polyclinics and the operation of the laboratory equipment at the Owen King EU Hospital;
Laundry services including the operation of the laundry at the Owen King EU Hospital;
Medical facility management services including provision of a top-level management team that includes personnel qualified and experienced in specialized areas of medical facility management;
Specialized plant and equipment maintenance services;
Porter services;
Radiology services including provision of such services to polyclinics and the operation of the radiology equipment at the Owen King EU Hospital;
Security services;
Transportation services;
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited, and should be delivered before the deadline date of Wednesday, April 19.
